Become a PADI IDC STAFF INSTRUCTOR
Staff Instructors are able to:
Independently teach and certify PADI Assistant Instructors.
2. Conduct IDC
training segments under the direct supervision of a PADI Course
3. Evaluate and
critique instructor candidate knowledge development,confined
water and open water teaching presentations.

training during instructor-level continuing education programs,
such as PADI Specialty Instructor Training courses.

To enroll in a PADI IDC Staff Instructor course, an individual
1. Be renewed and in Teaching status as a PADI Instructor for
the current year.
2. Hold a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer rating.
3. Agree to conduct all levels of diver training consistent with
the standards and philosophy outlined in the PADI Instructor
4. Agree to use the PADI System and components in its entirety.
The first 2 days of the course you will be familiarizing
yourself with the Instructor Development process and the
Assistant Instructor Course. You will learn to give role model
presentations both in the classroom and in water. After
successful completion of this section, you will audit a complete IDC. Throughout
